Program of Events      September 10 th,   2007

  • IX  Presentation & Trade Show  at  Hotel Tennis Club   San Jose, Thursday 20th of September.  Expo Manuel Antonio as a tourist destination.  Second year in a roll,   Audience will be agents, employee organization such as unions, cooperatives; and travel agencies.  FREE  stand  for  GMA members.   2 representatives  per  GMA companies  Open to the public.    Start  at  11 am  to  5:00 pm  continuosly.

    Presentation of EXPO Manuel Antonio 2008  to Quepos - Manuel Antonio Community and local authorities,           Tuesday,  September 27, at Palmatica  Club  Afternoon.   The opportunity to present to our partners, business         owners and government officials of the details of the upcoming EXPO 2008 trade show.  This is also the International celebration Day of Tourism  word wide.   Quepos is asking to the ICT Board  to be the main city,  to celebrate in the country.
 
  • Guanacaste Market Place Show   9th to  12th of October 2007.  We have one stand for 2 representatives.  Free of charge,  members please  send 150 brochures for  this show to  Alcira  as soon as possible. 

  • Central American Travel Market in San Jose, hotel Cariari, Thursday and Friday, 11th and 12th of October. We have available one stand with 2 representatives. Just for GMA members. please  send 150 brochures for this show to  Alcira  as soon as possible.    Delegate in Charge  Mr. Guillermo Piedra

  • Promotional Caravan to Florida, USA to  Naples, Sarasota and Fort Myers presentations in Florida - 3th to the 6th of September.   Sponsored in part  by the Costa Rican Tourism Bureau  &  TACA  Airlines.

  • ACAV Convention Show  in San Jose,  at the Hotel Trip Corobicí - 25th september 2007.   ACAV is the association of Travel  Agencies.     Space available for 6 representatives.  Free  participation for GMA  members.

 Past and Successful Events of 2007:


  • COSTEO Training Course  in Quepos / 19 th and 20 th of April - a 10-hour course here Cost: ¢ 30,000 colones per person for GMA members,  35,000 for non-members. The fee includes all materials and refreshments. Must  be pre paid in advance. 

  • Group Presentation in the Pow Wow Tourism Market, California, USA 22nd of April, Hyatt Regency, Disneyland, California, USA.  Total event occurs from 21st to 25th of April.  On the 21s,  Revista Viajes (a well-recognized travel magazine) is invite to present  of materials and a video of  Manuel Antonio as a tourist destination.  The audience will be tour operators, corporations, airlines and the general public, among others.  To contact Revista Viajes,    Please call Sr. Joaquin  or Gail  Fernandez  at 283-0000.

  • Expotur Travel Show   in San jose  a resentation of the GMA companies, 30th and 31st of May.  We will have 2 stands with 4 representatives.   Delegate in Charge  Mr.  Miguel Rojas. 

  • Fan Trip from Expotur   visiting  Quepos / Manuel Antonio   the 2 and 3 of June.  We will be hosting 31  travel agents and media representatives.  Trade show with Dinner,    event include dinner Price $ 25.00  per person.    Please Bring enough promotional Materials &  Brochures

  • SISTER CITIES  CONFERENCE  at  Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA  departure  July 16th to  end  July 22nd.  Quepos & Fort Lauderdale as Sisters Cities program  members.  The GMA is part of the delegation on  Tourism.   Several meetings and contact will be made with the  local chamber of commerce of the  City of Fort Lauderdale and GMA. Ttraveling  with others local organizations GMA is covering in part  the cost of the travel expensive of our delgation.  Our  Delegation  are  Mr, Miguel Rojas & Mr. Guillermo Piedra members of the board.   More informacion  with   Mr. Cornelio Mesen at La Mansion hotel ph.777- 5009.

  • Presentation & Trade show  at Hotel Radisson - VIII Event in San Jose, Thursday, August 16.  This will be the Eight year for this presentations  of Manuel Antonio as a tourist destination invited  travel agencies, tour operators, media persons.  Sponsored in part by Banco Nacional.  afternoon - night    FREE  stand  for  GMA members,  2  per company.   Show open to the public 11:00 am to 6:00 pm  ending with a Coctel  in the same hotel.
